White or Blue Taillights?

Got a extra set of 8 lights.. Hate the chrome, and want to try something new, but I am not sure what.

My car is a 2006 IX WW.. GSR ( I think?)..
I was wondering if anyone has pics of their light.. Painted blue or white.

Or is there any other color you suggest to paint? ( NOT BLACK, I have Black on already.. since its an IX) Also, what paint would you recomend to paint them with.. and glue to put them back together with?

Thanks for the help in advance!

You need a plastic paint, a damn good glue, and you have to open them with a dremal. White maybe, blue agh. I have done a few color matched tails, they look awful. My opinion though. The tails you have now arnt black, its a black chrome, regular black looks alot better.

Well I was supposed to get IX tails, but ended up gettign Evo 8 tails that are just painted flat black inside.. great paintjob though.. but glued with the windshield glue.. black stuff. and glued horribly... the glue is all voer the lights inside and outside..Need to clean it off with paint thinner and repaint it.

WHAT!#!@#E!?>@#!@# dremel... maybe im wrong, but if the taillights are similar to the headlights, all you have to do is heat the whole hosing up for a few minutes int he oven(250degrees on a damp cloth,2-5minutes) to heat the glue/sealant, so you can open the hosing up by hand.. then reverse the process to put them back together, adding a good glue or sealant to all the edges...

(and if im wrong, just ignore what i said, ive opened up plenty of headlights, not many taillights)

matching the taillight color to the car can turn out nice if matched properly, go with what you want.. and if you dont like it, redo it! dont be afraid to experiment.

i have to agree with Demon ni2 if you want to paint the tails paint them i would be intrested to see a colored matched tail light rear never seen one. I seen a color matched headlights and i actually like them does not look bad at all.

I would be interested in seeing this done, but it kinda seems like something along the same lines as painting everything on your car the same as the body itself. Its just too much of the same color. There are just some things on your car that you want to stick out, not blend in. Its kinda like a hot rod trend. Anyway, lets see what it looks like.

From my experience the taillights are not glued together the same way and much harder. hence why I screwed up on mine. I have heard the you have to cut the taillights apart.

The taillights do not have the same glue as the headlights. I have painted both of mine and I used a dremel for my tails and a heatgun for the headlights. As far as what color that is a personal choice.
