Swirl free crystal clear windows

I swear this works awesome ..... I used rain-x on my windows to help during rainy times. But it left cloudy marks even after buffing it off. Then I used glass cleaner. Left even more swirl marks. The only thing that made my windows sparkle cystal clear was .. you guys wont believe this.... a wet newspaper soaked in water... don't know it till you try it.

I also used Windex, Soap, Water, anything and nothing really did much to help. Then I asked my dad for advice, and he also mentioned the only way to clean the windows clear is wet newspaper. So I am going to have to back up this statement.

I have to agree to that statement also. I was washing my car the other day and was trying to use windex and a paper towel to clean the window. My girl just straight out told me... "use a wet newspaper. It works the best". I was like... get the F*(K out of here. i didn't believe one bit, but then she insisted to use it so i gave it a try. IT WAS SPARKLING CLEAN!!!! Totally converted me. =) wet newspaper is awesome

Time to give it a shot. My glass looks like crap. After a year and a half of smudges, smears and grime, this might be very helpful.

I want to try this because I can't get my windows streak-free with Windex and a paper towel, but I don't have any newspapers. Do you think pages from an SCC would work?

No, it won't leave anything behind but a very clean window. Newspapers are the best material for cleaning windows....

I've used newspapers and windex for a long time - absolute magic. The person that told me years back about it gave me this explanation. Apparently, the kerosene used in the paper production is pretty much the ultimate streak-free chemical, so it just makes your windows try pretty much perfectly.

Throw on a few coats of Rain-X after that, and you've got some great windows. By the way, to the original poster, if you've got clouds after Rain-X, then get a new dry terrycloth and keep wiping it away.

If you read the back of a can of invisible glass it says to clean your windows with crumpled newspaper and their spray. I think it works the best.
