heads and tails look great...the wheels not so much. the silver center caps ruin them

never thought about painting those center caps. but im not riding on those anymore thankfully.

how long did it take me to do the tails. i cant really remember, i might have posted somewhere thou. to open each one i would guess between 30-60min. but i stress taking your time. get usto heating up that adhesive to the right temp so that the blade will just pass right through. instead of heating it up till you think its good and just use more pressure to get the blade to cut, as that will crack the plastic. post up pics in here if you want, let us know how it went.

yea i had a spare one and followed ur vid and thread. still was a pain cause it really does depend on the blade u use and the temp u get it too. eventually i got them seperated but not to the cleanest degree. ill have to be alot more patient with my real set.

 

hey here are mine without the amber tint that i want to put on... do any of you guys kno where i can get some good stuff to put on my tails to make that JDM amder look good? pm me please if you kno

nice choice on the paint. i did the same, not too many people have matte black tails

 

thanks man i would have went with the chrome black but i couldnt find one that i like... when i sprayed it it would come out uneven and looked bad

im having a guy tint them with some amber tint and as soon as that happens im gonna post some more pics

yeah i guess if your going for the oem black. but once i painted my head lights black i liked it so much i knew i had to do the tails the same color, now they match. just like the oem IXs that have a chrome head light and a slightly different chrome tail light. i just dont like the stock IX lights that much, it just looks like a plain boring black and to me, looks cheap in a way like the cheap plastic lights all the civics have... flat black is so much better

well i have stock 9s already... i bought these 8s for 80 bucks both tails and decided on going a JDM look for cheap... ill post up picks of the amber tint as soon as i get done with these

BTW if any of you guys want the amber tint i kno a guy who can tint them for 60 bucks plus shipping.... lety me kno
