hold on, whats the difference between flaring and pulling?
and dave I totally didn't understand what you meant about the cave in thing till I went a little further today and it's got a fatty bulge above where the rear bumper mounts on both sides.
guess it's time for a widebody

pulling involves body work and you can either leave the body line or take it out. I did this on my past vw and widened the arches over an inch. flaring is basically just causing the vertical body line to be on an angle, thus flaring.
The buldge you're talking about isnt the one dave is i believe. You flared yours and now thats your hard line basically because you cant flare the pinch without cutting... The buldge dave is speaking of i believe is when you over flare the fender it causes the metal above the arch to push in causing an inward dent because your pushing the metal upwards and exerting the force and it has to go some where.

no you can pull it fairly hard without issue even though its 3 layers of metal.
yes , you can see the area above the flared section is indented.....always happens you have to put initial angle on the roller like this \ then as you go get it straight up and down like
this | to pull it and not flare it. most people do it like they do with 240s with a serious angle which is what you need to do only to get it started on an evo

oh and btw the crazy thing is this already makes the wheels/tires clear with almost no camber.....even a street evo should run at least -1.8 camber and race cars will run -2.7 degrees
