i dunno..i dont like how the evo looks with the bra. but if u want to prevent chips from rocks or bug splattering over the front fender, then get it. some people buy bras for long distance trips so they dont have to clean up the mess with the bugs instead of keeping it on the whole time.

This question is like asking an OLD school biker if he'll wear his helmet?

You are safer with one...but its harder to look cool.

My opinion... it depends on the color or your evo....
Its harder to hide paint chips and fliks on a darker car.....
You can live with the chips (over time of course) with lighter colors, white, silver..

I just ordered a bra for some road trips i have planned. It doesn't look bad on the silver evo. Anything to keep the massive paint chips away.

There is a pic of a silver evo at a gas station with the bra on the this page.

Yup I agree on the benefits of a bra's functionality (for cars and women! j/k) but, it just looks like you'd be muzzling the pitbull EVO visual asthetics (sp?). It makes it look like a manufacturer test mule.

Looks hideous in my opinion, even though I have one. I only use it on long road trips. In fact, I've only used it once. Look at the carnage:

Bra Yes!
I bought the bra for my silver Evo and it was the best 130.00 I have spent. I do alot of highway driving and it has saved my front end.

Last week I hit half of a tire on the freeway and I thought for sure my spoiler was gone but thanks to the bra it only scratched the bra.

I never drive without it. I guess its easier to have a bra in Cali where it never rains. It would be a pain in the *** if I had to take it off 3 days a week.

a couple questions:

where do you get the bra? $130 isn't bad at all

do you have to take it off everytime it rains? if so, why?

Went to the dealer where I bought the car and asked my sales rep for a discount at the parts dept. Also, www.mitsubishiparts.com has them for 105.00 I think.

Oh, and yes if the water sits under the bra and the sun comes out it will turn your paint "white" under the clearcoat. I ruined the hood on my Yukon leaving the bra on wet for 1 day after it rained.

Does anyone know if just the hood cover portion of the bra can be purchased alone?

I've thought about it. Although I wouldn't want the whole kit installed. I'm just looking for something to cover up the front of the hood as thats whats going to take the grunt of the beating this upcoming winter.

Most rocks will bounce off the bumper leaving little mark. But off metal....ouch!

The hood bra is quick and easy. Plus I can take it off in the spring.

But...I guess I could get the 3m stuff put on the front of the hood relatively cheap.

woooow ... thats a huge *** dragon fly (it looks like one) in front of ur intercooler. i drove to florida in my yellow OZ and it was all bloody and dirty in the front. the funny part was watching em smack into the windshield or hearing em bounce off my hood. kinda nasty with a mesh grill too. its like running into a blender.... bras are pretty nice, same as mud gaurds, their very funtional. but dont keep em on for a long time because when u take it off the color will be different from underneth the bra and the rest of the hood.
