When you guys got your tint done, did they have to remove the windshield wiper on the rear window to make a good cut-out? If so how do you remove it because i'm planning to get my tint done and i'd rather remove it myself it its needed. Thanks in advance guys!
I know but theres this rubber piece on the inside of the car and most tint shops precut on the outside so if they don't take out the wiper it won't be cut right when put inside
I have my windows tinted and yes they wound up removing my rear wiper because of the black piece. They cant cut around it because of the restriction in space because of the window slanting down. It took the guy 5min to remove it and when he was done he put it right back in. It wasnt a big deal but yes if you are getting your windows tinted they will remove your wiper assembly from the back window.

70% is now the NYS Law of tint percentage
"Section 375 (12-a) of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law does not allow a windshield or front side windows that are dark. The windshield and front side windows cannot block more than 30% of the light. Seventy percent or more of the light from the outside must pass through the window. This law also applies to rear windows unless the vehicle has outside rear-view mirrors on both sides. The mirrors must give the driver a full and clear view behind the vehicle."
