If the camaro would have came out early last year before i bought the Evo, i might have considered it since it took me over a year of searching for a stock Evo 9 with very low miles. I almost gave up and went with a 2002 Z06 (low miles) for right under $30k . Last minute, I found my Evo, and I jumped on it. I'm glad i did.

I wonder if people notice the wink icon in the title of the thread.

Quote: haha i'm glad u didn't actually get rid of ur evo...camaro doesn't look bad though...what is the gauge you have all the way on the right?? thanks...
the gauge on the right is Autometer D-PIC gauge. It measures acceleration (Gs) in all 4 directions, also measures 0-60, 60-0, 1/4 mile time, hp... Its pretty cool, and it helps if you're trying to practice 1/4 mile times.

Hope Chevy survives long enough to make the Camaro look as good as the Challenger or the '10 Mustang. Seems like they really dropped the ball.

Haterz seriously. Everyone gets so wrapped up in their Evo's that they can't see past them to appreciate anything else. If the Z28 makes it to production after all of the latest issues with GM and their performance division, I will get one. For the money, it will be a destroyer of both the Challenger and every iteration of the current 20 deep Mustang lineup. Chevy did it right this time, right down to the v6 model that has the same output as the Mustang GT and that destroys the Mustang and Challenger V6.

Will I get rid of my Evo, hell no, they are different cars and the Evo plays a different role in my garage/arsenal

Quote: Honestly I think Dodge did a better job with the looks of the Challenger. But this is much better than the old F-bodies for sure.
+1. IMHO, the new camaro is ugly. On the other hand the new Challenger is hot (it doesnt help that I was already a Mopar fan )

this is the first car since the evo9 that i'd consider buying. Looks great and I'd even consider trading my ix for it if it were just a little faster.

Camaro is pretty damn cool - thank you for the middle finger pic. I will want a WHITE Z28 in next couple years when Dupont gets the mineral deal all figured out with the Indians so we can have WHITE cars available again!

why GM pulled WHITE from Camaro lineup @last minute

I was just kidding about "Bye Bye Evo". I love my Evo, and no camaro could ever replace it. This camaro belongs to a friend of my neighbors. He didn't let us take it for a ride, or race, maybe some other time.
whew
that was a close call to a big mistake
