I like the 8

 

I would go with the evolution 8 bumper. Plus.. You have more room for a bigger front mount! 2" more surface area!

stock for stock the 9 is better IMO

Its funny I thought I was in the minority because I like the 8 bumper with front lip better the 9 bumper with front lip.

My vote is for the 8 bumper..we are in the process of switching out our 9 bumper for an 8 bumper too

 

Sorry to hijack thread, but your 9 bumper wouldn't be apex silver would it? If so, pm me. I'd be interested in it if you want to sell it.

Does some make the VIII bumper with no nose? Or is that something that would need to be done at a body shop? I have changed my mind. I own a IX but like the look of the VIII with no nose. I really don't like the nose.

I don't think you can do it yourself. Chopping the nose off leaves a gap at where you believe the bumper would be level. Doing a simple dremel + Sand/Paint type thing won't work, I think that area needs to be filled in.

Yeah the 8 with no nose looks great and original. I think the stock 8 bumper almost looks like an aftermarket, more aggressive bumper. The 9 looks newer and more refined. I like them both.

 

Who's got an 8 bumper laying around that they want to get rid of??? I going to give it a nose job and put it on!!!

 

i like the 8 w/ the chopped nose... looks very aggressive

 

first time i've seen an 8 with nose chopped off and it looks GOOD!!
ive always liked the IX better though, but this one looks real agressive.

 

i like the 8 because you can see a nice big aftermarket front intercooler better. with the 9 you cant really see the intercooler too much
there is just more so much more surface area for an intercooler on a 8 bumper
