its an RMR hood scoop, i have one as well... the hood scoop allows the hot air from the engine to escape from the open side and the scoop has a funnel that dumps right onto where your air filter is.

as far as where to purchase it, lancershop.com has it for almost $400 and rmrproducts.com also has it for i think like $10 cheaper.
