I don't think they do anything for the looks of the car, but I've seen some EVO's with higher mileage than mine and most have rock chips on the lower halves of the doors down the whole side of the car. Seems unavoidable unless you get some mudflaps. They don't have to be huge or flashy, just black and should not stick out much from the wheel well. If they're small enough, they don't look good or bad, and they save the paint. I may be getting some from a local parts shop soon after seeing what my car could look like in another 50K miles.

I think flaps would really compliment the stance of your car. I have em on with 18" wheels as well, and it looks very nice. The car looks kind of bare with out em.

Evo's and flaps are like pancakes and syrup.....Flap haters are usually into M3's and are wingless.

Mine are mounted inboard to flush with tires and are straight up and down....alot of people jam em on and they look hideous....all about the install.

Haha, well that answers my questions! Both of them, whether it's a true rally car, and whether you seriously need the low/wide ugliness!

Man, I tell you though, those low/wide mud flaps are seriously helping keep the dirt off your car!

I meant, is he actually using the car as a rally car, not a street car/drag car/track car... Sad thing is that you knew that, but wanted to throw your two cents in...

Of course, because you assumed he wasn't using it as a RallyCar without asking first, which you were obviously shown wrong by his photos.

Just my $0.02.
