Thanks for the all the suggestions

Here's a pic of a satin primer that was put on...fire a coat of clear and you have a very inexpensive paint job..perfect for a Time Attack car on with a budget paint job?

Perhaps adding a gold pearl to the clearcoat over your satin black finish will give it a unique glimmer. I googled it to see what it might look like...
