true statement, but.. If you look at any of the 8 second evo's whats an evo about them? they have basically everything this car has minus the tube frame, and most of them have the whole front clip as a tube anyways. If you cant get the car legally inspected, why not go all the way. this car goes all the way.

Seeing as the AWD world record is 7.5 (give or take 1 tenth) and was in a skyline that was probably shifting power 90/10, 6's will be seemingly impossible.

I really hope they hit that goal though, it would be unreal.

 

It is true that magnus is pushing the limits, but I don't consider this an evo it's a full drag funny car, like the aem civic hitting 7s

Crazy setup.

 

Our 8 second evo had full interior, full glass, full stock chassis, stock rear end, stock RS tcase, stock axles, stock location suspension.. While not the rally bred evo it was designed to be its closer than a tube frame car with an Evo body..

 

Does anyone know if this car has gone to the track yet? If memory serves me correctly, I thought I remembered this car being finished last year...

 

Well I hear that .6 seconds does seem like a long shot, but no one last year thought that a honda in street trim would got 8's after a bunch of guys running 9.4's and 9.5's at over 155mph. And tony1 finally hit 8's at almost 170, on a 72mm turbo and 24.5" slicks, then a few other people now have hit 8's and plenty have gone 9.0's.

Id say they have a shot if anyone does. Technology keeps getting better and better each and every year.

Yeah it was on honda-tech a year or maybe 2 ago.
