Actually we were doing a photo shoot with the p1 earlier. Believe it or not it's owned by a guy in his 20s who's quite humble despite his opulence. This was after the shoot on our way home.

I wouldn't just give a random exotic owner the bird...it was a good photo op at the moment. If you fail to see the humor in that then too bad

I did fail to see any humor in that shot. To me a picture tries to say something, some sort of a message, and since you mentioned that the owner is 20 and pretty humble, I guess the bird was to signify jealousy? Either way, the picture painted is not a positive one.

 

You have a valid point. The picture does not paint a positive message. However, the point was to make some interesting composition that would generate controversy and comments for the photographers porfolio - which is exctly what it did. Driving an evo doesn't make me a mascot for the community. For example I don't like to see hella flush evos....to me that it's a compete misrepresentation of the vehicle and it's capabilities and what "most" evo owners love about the car. But it is what is is and all you can say is: to each his own. We just came from a photosshoot and while I could have given a thumbs up the middle finger is way more contreversial given the situation at a red light. At the end of the day I was invited to see the 1st McLaren P1 is Canada for a private shoot and was lucky to be there. Moreover I was happy to return the favour for the photographer who arranged it. As a photographer, (and it sounds to me like you take it very serious), one loves nothing more than to see his work go viral....I mean after all what's the point of a photo if it's never seen? I really don't want to get into a back and forth about the pic...if you don't like it I can appreciate your view and hope you can provide the community with a photo that encompasses the message you think enthousiasts should see.

 

By the way I used to live in Brooklyn, Bed-Sty...so once again, I can appreciate where you are coming from...but I've had my say.
