so i finally got my grids in today and i have to say, they look pretty damn nice. did anyone else have to cut their fender lining? the tire is reallllllly close to the plastic. btw, i had run spacers in the front, had 0 clearance.

You have to pull the fenders and add some camber =)

I'm in love with these wheels! They would look great in matte bronze on my yellow evo8. If I run them with 255/35/18, will rolling the rear fenders be enough to fit the rears? Would 255/40 be possible, for better pot-hole protection? I would like to avoid running too aggressive negative camber, since my car will only see street use, with the grids. Tips suggestions?

Thanks,

Julian

Just put hyperblack on my tb and I have a pretty steap driveway with horrible roads in WV. I had to roll, pull rears and remove bumper bolt and relocate it. For the fronts I just bought the evodave kit cause they rub a little. I figure it should give me just enough to clear. I also had to reform the fender liners. No spacers needed. Tires are 255/35/18 Nitto NT555's.

Any pics?? I assume coilovers are not needed for them to fit? Also, I thought rolling in the rear was enough, without pulling???

Thanks for the reply!

I'm on tein springs. I dont have pics yet cause I only had em on for 3 days to get the fitment down before it started snowing. Rotas tend to pit from salt really easy. This is my third set. When the wife gets home I'll get them on and take some quick pics. As far as the pulling, the only reason I needed to was because of my horrible rolling job.

The Rota Grids look like they were made for the EVO. Simply awesome cars here.

And i swear in real life every other EVO is repping grids lol it just works.
