Like I said before....PRINCIPLE. I HATE Megan products because they essentially fathered the "knockoff" movement and everyone thinks of them as a legitimate company. To me, it's ridiculous.
But you are absolutely correct, this section of exhaust, minus the 4 separate weld lines is almost unbeatable in price. And OP it was not my intention to thread jack.

People been knocking of AMS intercoolers for years.. You get what you pay for.. I have news for you though.. Only so many ways to make a stock location downpipe.. it is what it is.. 165.00 piece that doesnt crack and is 3" what more would you need?? I wouldnt pay 300 more for it to say SPOON on it..

I never even knew the Megan o2 housings were a knock off. I figured the Ebay o2 housings were the knock off of those. It seems like 80% of stock framed turbo guys run the Megan units. They are proven. If AWD goes and fabs a new downpipe and releases it, is it considered a knockoff? LOL.

Before I start my rant...I really dig the progress of your car, it's great motivation. You don't seem to have an issue shakin' the haters off.
I, unfortunately, am a man of principle to an extent. Megan is a company that has strived to make knock off products. I was in the Honda scene when Megan was knocking off MUGEN, and to see that this company is this big because of this business practice makes me sick. Companies like this are the reason that other DEVELOPING companies have been going under. Once AMS starts getting knocked off people will understand. I would have paid the extra money for a DP ESPECIALLY with all the $$ spent on the other parts. You're right, there is nothing wrong with the price, but there is a problem with people perpetuating this problem.
