From: on the interwebs all fricken day.
im actually a bit bummed with the rigidity of the rally armors.
Im stock height and scrape them quite a bit. do to the fact that they don't really flex, i feel they are more prone to being ripped off. If it was a $50 replacement i wouldn't be so concerned, but these things are 100 bux a pop.
I plan on finding some new materials and making a template.
would anyone be interested in a set?

I did the DIY mudflaps (the writeup is in the how-to section) just to have something to protect the doors from winter road salt, theyre awesome. Except I had one fly off on the highway, it was my own fault though that they flew off. Gotta follow speed limit signs with these things on lol.

Came with the last evo... Owner said they are the "OEM Evo" ones and were wicked expensive. I also have a set of rally armors. I noticed that Rally armor definitely thinned out on their material because I have a spare set of rears and they are 1/4 thick and the new one is definitely thinner.

Does anyone who owns a blue Evo with the mudflaps fitted? I am in the processing of purchasing a set but can't decide on the colour...

Ralliart ones are pretty tacky looking, the big evolution logo isn't much better. I have the rally armor ones and they scrape on speed bumps and hard corners. Least ridiculous looking but stupid material selection with not so much "flap" not happy.

The official mudflaps thread-cc1b3l.jpg

HoverCar! The only thing I hate about the flaps is how rigid they are. I'm not getting them to protect the car from baseballs, I'm getting them to keep the sides clean and they give it a better stance than without. Going over speedbumps if they scrape I feel like the whole side skirt is going to pull off. If the urethane ones weren't so damn shiny I would have bought those for sure
