What is that disc thing you were weighing? One of the clutch discs?

I have no doubt this will be another great build for you Jerry. Is that a "FP RED" turbo?

Great collection of parts. I think in spring that CBRD radiator is gonna be mine. I've been doing research and they seem to be what a lot of guys running time attack are using. Plus I like the idea of staying with a full size radiator. Good luck on the build!

Some very nice parts there . Why the 7/8/9 type o2 housing ? 7 on down pipe is longer than 4/5/6 and different angle on the end flange.

Thanks guys. Just a few details. The car will be set up to be as close as possible to the driving experience your evo gave you the day you drove it off the lot. Smooth, queit, fun to drive, new car like feel. But with more power. stock 1/4 is about 14 seconds. I am aiming for 10.50... Power goal is 525/525.

Originally decided on red. But I am backpeddling to the HTA green. I am taking my own advice you want to use the smallest turbo possible to reach you power goals. The green should get me there.

The brakes will be custom setup. The car has evo 8 brakes but doesnt make me happy. I have to run a 15mm spacer on the front. I wanted to run brakes up front that are lighter, narrower, and more powerful than the factory 8 brembos. I came up with rotors that save 8 pounds rotating per side, coupled to wilwood 6 piston calipers, no spacer needed. The rear is a bit of an experiment. the factory rotor is 15 pounds . the carbon rotor will weigh 6 pounds. Calipers will be 4 piston wilwood. no sacrifice in breaking power all around while saving some power robbing rotational mass.

The exhaust will be hand fabbed by me so it wont matter what 02 I start with. The aftermarket 02 saves 3.5 pounds, but I think it offers zero HP. the factory 02 with a good port job will flow better and be quieter. The exhaust will have three custom quiet , lightweight hand made mufflers. I want the car to as close to stock in sound as possible. If its more quiet that would thrill me. I wish the car was electric. I want to hear my sound system.

These wheels are on the car. purple wheels went to a salvage yard. NOS wedsport TC-005

I think I read your previous build threads on another forum, and I'm sure this will be equally as impressive! I really like those wheels you went with, and agree that the HTA green will keep you closer to your goals in that the spool will be very similar to the day these were driven off the lot. Can't wait to see your progress!
