Alpine W205. The 505 is the newer version but its a lot more expensive and doesnt have that much more to it.



I was thinking about a red film to cover it with. I knew it was going to be green but it is a little brighter green than i thought so a dark red would match pretty well.

 

i've been debating on buying a screen.....just cant bring myself to spend the money on something that doesnt give me any more power lol. i definitely think the red film would be a good idea. it would have a lot more of a stock appearance.

Very nice any chance on getting a "How To" on this? did you just fit the whole gauge behind the clock and only have the digital display in site???

Ya well I got mine for $500 new which is a good deal for a dvd deck. I love it so much. Watch movies on road trips all the time haha. Ya im going to put an update pic in a couple days with the red film on.

Thanks man! was a bit of work and was going for a stock/clean appearence.

I got the dd piece from japan parts and I cut out the hvac controls and cut them carefully to fit in place where the stock MR gauges go. I also had to cut away a bit behind it to make it sit at the angle it is at.

I could do a how to but there would not be that many pictures but I could explain it step by step and it would also depend on what wb people went with. Very few will fit back there because of the limited space. Only the display is sitting behind the the clock cover.
