Some pics from this morning. I adjusted the height (again) for a more even rake. Still rubbing at full lock. Wheels are for sale btw.

Hey Roger

Really looks great. Couple of questions:
Why did you feel the need to raise the rear? Are you getting some rear rub? Just a bit concerned w/the rake specs. Years ago I ran a similar rake profile and found it to be very oversteery

Again, really looks excellent

Thanks Joe. Not for rubbing reasons. But it looked saggy. Luckily I have a friend that works at a dealer we tinkered around with camber settings and height til we were blue in the nose. I kinda miss having springs as you did not have to keep adjusting height. So at this point I have made my mind up to go with a set of TE37SL in 17x9.5s +28. These wheels were more of an experiment as the slightly higher offset gave me more room to play with. But I refuse to run a 255 so I rather just get rid of them. They are definitely eye candy so folks that want a clean looking set on their car, they will definitely be happy. No real loss other than the cost to get them PCd. These would run on a X flawlessly without any rubbing and pretty much having almost any ride height. Anyhow I am going off topic and probably more appropriate for the tire wheel fitment section.
As for understeer, I have not encountered any but this is a street car and I don't track it. So I'd be curious as to how bad the understeer would be. So again, brings me to the point of wanting to swap to 17s and get the most out of the new coils.

My new to me Evo IX RS. I just purchased it from a dealership up in Chicago and had it shipped to me in NC. Currently looking for previous owners since the dealership had minimal information posted about it, since i've noticed the side mirrors aren't the OEM and are plastidipped black instead of being OEM black.

First and foremost, figure out what is / had been done to the car and make sure it's going to be reliable. Once it's paid off, my plan is 500WHP and autocross it, but that will not likely happen in the next few years. Previous owners installed radio / speakers, and drilled holes into the door panels for tweeters, so gonna put tweeters in so atleast there isn't visible holes

Understand. Keep us posted on your progress. LOL, My RS only has the 2 front speakers. Rarely have the CD player going. Prefer listening to the mechanicals

Currently tuned on the stock bottom end at 460WHP (DynoJet measured)

Absolutely will keep updating as I progress with the car. As of right now, i'm still getting used to the car. I'm coming from a 2009 Cobalt SS. I have a 6 puck clutch in the cobalt, but the clutch on this evo is significantly harder than that clutch. I also plan on getting a dual map tune for E85 once it becomes available by me.
