Correct. When putting the headlights back together, I just put them into the oven for 5-6 minuts @ 240 and let the sealant get hot and sticky, so that I can just push them back together, and clip all the clips on. Worked like a charm.
Well, in my opinion, I would like my headlights to have the "exotic" look, rather than the "my car comes factory with HID's" look. I did not install the HID's for greater visibility, although they do help a lot. I installed the HID's because they look awesome, and I love the color of 12k (blue violet). The light is projected, with a nice cutoff, so I am not "blinding" anybody on the road. Besides, technically, 4300k would be brighter and more "blinding" than 12000k because of the higher lumens, correct?
Thanks for the compliment on the headlights though

when you say "Exotic" look are you refering to headlights from:
- M3s
- 300C's
- Lambo's
- Porche's
- Ferrari's??
If so, ALL these cars run OEM 4300K lighting. The REAL "Exotic" look is not achieved from the actual color of your output. Its achieved from the constant back and forth change in:
- color of your output to the
- color at your cutoff
The color change occurs when your car travels over small bumps in the road, making your beam pattern move up and down. This is the "Exotic" look that oncomming drivers see
Noobs are misconceived when they see this color change so they rush out and buy 8000K+ bulbs in hope to get the "BLUE" look...... Wrong move!!!!
Its all about "Color flicker" NOT Blue bulbs:

Dude, if a "nice cutoff" is what you want ill give you a nice cutoff. Sell your crappy Halogen HLs and ill build you a proper JDM HID set with a USDM converted cutoff that will make exotic cars jealous.

Something you should have done to your set was projector colouring:

Correct
Having a "nice cutoff" has nothing to do with "Blinding" people. Its got to do with your light output being properly aligned over a FLAT surface. Going over inclined or declined surfaces and your lighting should be corrected with "Auto Levelling", which your car doesnt have..

We'll see I guess. For now, I'm very happy with the 12k's that I have in the projectors, even with my "ok" cutoff. In the future, I will definitely consider doing a retrofit on these, because I'm sure a nice set of TL projectors with ZKW lenses would look reallyyyy nice.
I totally understand that the "color rainbow" is achieved with the cutoff going above your eyes and below. I currently drive a 2005 SRT-4 with e55 Bi-Xenon Retros, so I know all about very fine cutoff lines. For a non-hid projector, with hid's, I am fairly impressed with the cutoff. My e55's are very sharp, and the Evo projector isn't too bad either. I have done the retro myself, so if I ever do intend to mod the Evo headlights, I will most likely do the projector colouring, and possibly a retrofit.

JDM cutoffs are crap. Thats why im going FX35 with clear lense swap in the low beam housing. Pretty tight fit actually! With TLs being slightly bigger, im not sure if you can fit them without hacking too much of the housing away. 3" TLs would look better in the Evo housing compared to 2.5" FX35
