So someone took the liberty of denting the drivers side of my car and removing my mirror. So now I have a check in my hands that will cover a full respray. I wanna take this oportunity to do jdm tails, ix head lights, rhinoplasty, and maybe jdm rear.

Its a TB 8 so this is what I'm thinking. The jams, engine bay and all won't be painted but switching shades of black won't be noticable. Even a full color change with black insides wouldn't be too big of a deal but I'm like the way the black looks. SO, to the question, what color black should I do?

I'll have to swing by the porsche dealer and take a look at their obsidian black. My roommate had a obp bug eye in college so I got to look at that side by side with my car quite a lot.

 

This...Nighthawk Black Pearl. I had an Acura RSX-S and if you got some good wax on there, it was absolutely gorgeous. Black base paint with blue and purple flakes in it...absolutely stunning.

 

I might be the only one here that thinks the Subaru black looks terrible. The flake that they add gives it too much of a non black appearance. I detailed my buddy's 06 STi and I really didn't like the black at all.

On that note it's your car so your choice. My choice would be a nice deep black!

 

I'm right there with you man, the same goes for the Evo X Phantom Black....it has a very "brown" appearance to it due to the flake. Both Subaru's and the Evo X's are very poor examples of a metallic black in my book.
