hey guys im trying to build an intake duct for my race car in the drivers side headlight. I want to take it apart using the oven method but I have a laminex film over my headlight lens. I'm worried this may melt or something if I put it in the oven. Any idea, experience?

 

It shouldn't. You only put them in the oven at a low temperature, just enough to make the glue soft. But again, I'm not 100% sure.

 

It will be ok , how ever dont plan on taking off the film in the future because it will be baked on. Just set it in your oven on a moist towel so the oven rack doesnt deform your housing. I have done it before, just keep checking your glue softness and pull apart.

i would take the film off, your cutting the lens anyway. just put new on after if you need it on their. you dont know if the oven will turn it a odd color or not.

 

12 mins at 215 degrees is what i did mine with...and yea ask shunderwunder i've seen his in person and it looks sick dude!
