Difference between Air Dam and regular front bumper?
Correct me if i'm wrong... i heard that an airdam is aerodynamically shaped so that the incoming air is routed into the engine bay, specifically toward the intake? I'm not exactly sure, but that's what I think.
I believe the air dams are the canards. They're little plastic things that provide downforce on teh front bumper. Kind of like splitters, but it doesn't go across the whole front. Mitsubishi just likes to give everything a fancy name. Do a search for front bumper canards and you'll see what they look like. I'm not really feeling them on most cars, but some people can pull it off.
