Calling out all Yellow EVO 8 owners!

i was at an EVO meet on saturday and saw 2 yellow evo's there.

I dont own an evo yet but am planning on picking up a yellow evo in the 04' model year.

The two yellow evo's I saw had a bad stain on the front bumper on the flat spot near where the emblem would be. It seems as though it became part of the paint.

One guy said that the car came that way, and another yellow owner told me that he doesnt wash his car that often, therefore his paint has many ugly stains on it.

I really like to get a yellow evo, but if it stains easily then I may consider getting the blue by you.

How are your yellow paints holding up? Have you noticed any ugly stains on the car?

haha

You funny , any color will have stain if you dont take good care of it , light color you will see stain mark , dark color you will see swirl mark , so wash your car every week and wax it every 2 weeks , i guarantee your car look spotless .

that's a issue how you take care of your EVO,
not what yellow evo problem is.
Great choice for yellow EVO!

I've heard that there are a few Evo's rolling around with paint that is very very thin in certain areas. If the paint is thin enough, the colored primer shows through. It can end up looking like a stain.....but it is not!

My Yellow Evo is perfectly fine.

Boy, I hope this is not the case.
Mine was one of the two he saw ( if you were at Pruven ).
My "stain" is on the front bumper, right on the flat portion, on either side of the center logo section.
It almost looks like a shadow. It actually seems like it's under the paint.
I don't think I will be able to polish it out, but I haven't tried yet.
I am about to put my baby away for the winter so I will give it a shot and let you know how it goes.

To the guys who were at pruven on Nov 1, let me know how the results are with your yellow paint in the stained areas.

Talking

Mine is also Yellow. The problem that I have is that the bugs LOVE it. They think that it is a big flower or something.

Also, it shows dirt pretty good, but i keep washing it on a weekly basis. Sometime more.

It's a real head-turner, though.

tint the windows and it's awesome.
