Last time I checked tire prices (yesterday) it wasnt 50% more for 18" over 17" in same width...... That is a outdated opinion and wildly innacurate.

However, nothing wrong with 17" and if I was rocking the rota's instead of just powdercoating stockers (lets face it, IX OEM rims are basically this) i'd want the 17" to keep weight down.

They look great on the car and IMHO EB is a hard color to get good looking rim colors for, and you did this right!

okay, let's call it 30%. still, it's definitely a sizable difference. aaannndd, i would like to think that these are a little more concave than the ix enkeis. haha, i mean, they're a lot more concave.

anyway, thanks!

tires are 235/45 and offset is +30. with spacers, more like a +18.

Way to be different but if spacers and extended studs are involved im going far more aggressive than that.

yeah, that was the only offset they had for the 17x9 unfortunately. and i really wanted the torques. i would prefer the work emo cr kai, but definitely could not afford them

i don't know, i never had the stock wheels. i bought the car with some ugly les schwab specials. i do know that these weigh roughly 20lbs according to my bathroom scale. it reads in 1/2 pounds.

Exactly why I went with rotas. I have plenty more to put towards maintenence, repairs, and power now.

Another question....any rubbing or fender rolling? What suspension you running? I pulled the trigger on some cr Kai replicas also, drag dr31 17x9 +28. They're not installed yet but test fit and mine seem to clear the front calipers fine. I also plan to run stock tire size.

^^ send me pics of those wheels!! i almost bought them, but was hesitant because i didn't think they would have the concave look i was wanting.

i'm on hotchkis springs and gsr shocks. there's no rubbing on the actual fender, (non rolled) but some rubbing on full-lock turning on the fender liner. not really a big deal.
