Rain doesn't affect anything it doesn't make it into the turbo. When you drive after you rain you can shoot the water out the dump tubes. It doesn't travel into the turbo.

I drove from New Jersey to North Carolina the day after hurricane sandy it was raining pretty hard, no issues, also from NYC to northern nj about a 2.5 hr drive through the rain no issues.
