MMS Installed Wide Body Kit

We just finished installing a body kit for a customer so he could fit wider tires on his Evo 8 that he plans to road race. Some pictures below at varying stages of work.

If anyone wants to do the same or wants a quote on any type of paint or body work send me a pm or give me a call. -Adam

Looks good, is that a true voltex, or is it a knockoff?

I'm not body expert but I've never seen the rear quarters cut like that for the Voltex widebody. What did you guys do to it? Looks like it might rust overtime?

Well of course they need to cut it to accommodate larger tires or else it's just going to rub. And I don't think they would leave it like that. It was probably smoothed out and painted.

We understand that but look at the other members that have cut their rears its alot more material to be cut then that. I think it was weird as well I thought rust but I agree with foam why would you cut them like that.

You cut them and weld the two panels together, to make sure to clear the wheel and tire combo. We cut over two inches off of mine and then welded and rolled the fenders. But mines for the APR
