Of course we can modify evos in china, All bolt on stuff is easy, just that they are a little behind in the engine building and customizing of gearboxes, and tuning which is why i wanna get a short block and my tuner has to be flown in from HK to tune my car...

still trying to figure out what i wanna do in regard to my gearbox thou.... any suggestions ?

If you have the 5 speed get a Shep Racing Tranny it will be bullet proff almost and will be great with a good clutch then you wont have much to worry about and the last thing is the T-Case/Transfer Case until you get enought power to worry about axels and all.

Did they really remove the whole motor to do a clutch job?

This thread is awesome! Welcome to the forum too.

Love the new evo, I hope you can trust those guys doing the install. I mean, they are keeping your motor stable with a tire while they install the clutch!

Sorry to see your Honda get smashed, it looked like a nice car.

For those too lazy to do the money conversion, ¥270,000 CNY is about $39,482 USD. That's quite a bit for a used evo, but each economy is different.

They removed the motor to get all my defi gauges sensors thru too the cabin, installed the ORC twin plate clutch, BC CAMS, Springs and titianium retainers, Power Timing Belts, RC Injectors (but changed back to stock injectors for time being till my turbo reaches.) and repaired my ACD.... Changed all the fliuds of the car and now my car is drivable again...

Im still waiting for my FP Black turbo, Intake and Haltech PS2000, once my tuner gets these parts he'll fly over to tune my car.....

So atm i am driving the stock tune with BC 272 Cams, springs and retainers, tien monoflex coilovers, ORC twin plate clutch and 1.3bar boost thanks to the profec B Boost Controller...

According to my tuner he said it's ok to drive just keep a eye on the AFR and exhuast temps...

The Bolded part is the most important and to bad you don't have a knock light to see knock. I had several counts and did not know it on the stock turbo and bad tune and my A/F was way off. I lost like 3ft/lbs of torque and gained 15hp on my last tune when everything was brought back to where it needed to be.
