if we have to get out and take the pics, then iam sure this game will slow down during the winter, especially upnorth..lol
i say the date of the pic should be irrelevant.

OP rules say that you are supposed to go out and take a new pic. That's part of the scavenger hunt feeling about it, and the reason for strange requests (xbox, old ladies, picking nose, funny hat), etc.

Maybe they weren't adhered to in the past on all the pages, but let's play by them now for sure going forward.

 

Again, I think it's up to the OP but I think the game is more challenging and enjoyable if you go out and snap a pic. What challenge is there if you just search through your hard drive for old pics? Maybe we should start including newspapers with the current date with our shots...LOL.

 

You can usually tell if its new...old ones are usually like photoshoot's with extra cars, better cameras, logo's on the pics...etc etc.

Expect a lot of cell phone pics from this game

Can someone point out where in this it says it needs to be a new picture? It only says it has to be pictures of your own Evo so that if you don't have the picture you have to go out and get them. Not that the pictures have to be new, so if you happened to have the odd requests, then you are set. I only ask because I'd like to still keep a glimmer of hope of playing If we are adding to the rules, then I think the OP should be edited to include ALL of the new rules so that newcomers can look at the OP to get an idea of what is going on.

But I see why people are saying it has to be new, because the rules say "go out and take pics". They are focusing on the "go out" part.

From the initial discussions, I got the impression that the intent was to prevent people from just going to Google image search and pulling other people's photos. My understanding was that the OP wanted people to post their own photos of their own cars.

There are two camps here: those who like the scavenger hunt aspect, and those who want to see cool photos.

I get the impression that the people who have been in this thread the longest like the scavenger hunt aspect. Maybe those of us who don't want to run out to Dunkin Donuts in the middle of the night to take photos of our car parked between two cop cars should just start a new thread.

I don't suggest that in a "throw my toys out of the pram" way. But we clearly have two camps here who are just going to annoy each other. I respect the scavenger hunt folks, even though that's not my focus.

If we do create a new thread for cool photos, migs is still welcome to post cellphone pics of his wife.

 

I fully agree. At the very very least if we are changing the rule to (and changing any rule needs to be updated on the OP) "A picture must be taken after the challenge is posted" Then we need to change the "24 hour time limit" rule back to the OP rule of at least a week to provide more time to complete more awesome challenges. Otherwise we are swiftly going to run out of challenges here as 30 of them are completed per day.

Again, I don't care a ton. I probably have at best 5 challenges that are possible that I could win with all the pictures I have of the old Evo. I'm simply trying to keep things fair and laid out with rules if we want to stick to the rules as hardcore as we keep trying.

 

Ok well i updated scoreboard and rules.. Yes this game is about your evo in pictures so if you have a pic already of your evo next to a ball or next to a cliff why go out and waste gas use that pic. Ofcourse your going to have to go out to meet some request..

Also please!!!! if you see a pic that didnt meet the requirment dont post another pic of your car(another person trying to meet the request) until the confiusion of the request is met. That just makes things worse.. I will look for an example.

 

This is what im talking about 2 different request that met the original request, that confused the crap out of me. this is how things get side tracked i understand that we werent sure if we were going to accept old pics, but as of now i say we do a pic with your evo is what the game is about.. do i make sense? let me know if not i can try to explain better just that im kinda busy at work.. ok well the pics arent showing up but im refering to post #782 and 783
