why don't we ask someone who already has this cluster installed......after the install did him mileage zero out? if so that is nuts cause then you could totally fake mileage by changing your cluster

you can't replace the ralliart logo with it saying "EVOLUTION", maybe with a sticker or somethin... i'm sure it will fit the u.s. lancers..

that is exactly the same with the subaru WRX cluster. i changed mine to the JDM STI one and my odometer said 5000km instead of 10000miles. the only way you can do this legally is to do it at the dealership which they can document the change and the original mileage fo the car. too much hassle if you ask me for something that doesn't give you anything.

its your money bro

i agree it looks much better but i wouldn't want to put $600 into something that not only doesn't give me anything but also might be illegal and DECREASE the value of my car.

Just so you all know Vivid has confrimed you do lose all the miles once you get the new one installed. Sorry if this is late.

not for me...

after seeing the close up of it anyhow... it's not my taste... i like the subdued look inside now... i don't like the white faced gauges afterall...

"ALL CARS" do not store their mileage in the cluster. Some do. Some don't. For example, most GM vehicles actually have their mileage stored in three different places at the same time: cluster, engine ECU (ECM), and the airbag module (SDM). If someone really wanted to be picky, they could take the car to the dealer and read out the mileage on each one to make sure they matched. To my knowledge, only the cluster is ever checked (at a lease turn-in, for example).

What I want to know is: are there any other gauge face packages we can get for the EVO? I don't want some showy stuff.. just plain old white on black. Red on black is impossible to read with sunglasses on.
