Scratches on center console! Paint silver or black?

I have many scratches on the center console and hvac console (putting gauges in and out) anyways I want to paint it...I've seen the flat black and that looks nice, but I'm curious if anyone has painted it a dark flat silver.

Any pics would be great...and yes I searched and no I'm not looking for some WACKY color like red, purple poka dots whatever

thanks

i did mine flat black because of scratches...rexspeed makes a really nice carbon fiber console. i will most likely get the rexspeed piece because the painted console tends to scuff up a bit and it is really hard to rattle can and get a uniform spray. i thought mine was perfect but in direct sunlight you can see imperfections in the spray.

the previous owner painted the center console and dash trims almost the same color as the apex siliver I don't personally like it I prefer the oem look or as close to oem as possible but why not consider using carbon fiber vinyl I think that's what I might do to mine when I get around to moding my interior.

When I got my car the previous owner had painted a bunch interior pieces white (yes he didn't have very good taste). I tried something different and repainted them gloss black. I still have to finish up some stuff but for the most part I like it.

My vote is semi flat black.

I did mine using SEM interior paint and it came out nice.

Everything is black. Just go black and keep it simple.
