My custom 2 1/16" Ash Tray Boost Gauge Panel

It's made out of plexiglass and painted flat black to match the interior components. Once my boost gauge arrives I will take a picture of it all installed.

Awesome idea to make use of the ashtray for all of us non-smokers. I like to use my ashtray for loose change.

i made a dual guage pod out of fiberglass that goes over the cup holders. i figure since no one is allowed any food or drink in my car, why not use it for guages that dont need constant monitoring like NOS or electrical, oil pressure, etc.

Boost Gauge arrived from Buschur tonight. Thanks guys for the great customer service... Here's a picture of it fitted into my custom ash tray panel. Tomorrow I will complete the install and take final pictures...

BTW, the notch will not be visible once installed and I'm using double stick tape on the lower back side of the panel to make sure that I have a seal that will prevent light from bleeding through.

Put everything in this morning, but I need to do some more fabrication on the console itself (to allow the gauge to be mounted "flush" against the panel). I'll try to do this tonight and have pictures afterwards.

Then it's gonna be time to turn up the boost (right now I'm in "limp mode" at 10 psi max)...

Looks good. how do you like it there so far? I'm getting a Blitz dual timer/boost gauge tommorow and still haven't decided where I want the display to go. I think I might want it higher so I don't have to look down. Nice job.

Can you take a pic with it lit up?

why do that. my friend has an evo and they installed his guage inside the ash tray and he can leave it open or close it, so no one can see it.
