Any rollover protection? I've heard of people rolling evos at the track without and walking away but I personally wouldn't risk it, particularly with a car designated as a 'time attack' car and not a daily
Looks good nonetheless, I'd like a through-the-bar type front tow hook on mine

UPDATE!
Hey all. Well, on Australia day (26/1), had a shocker.. Something let go in the cooling system somewhere.. :-/
Im really gutted. Have been working so hard over the last 12 to 18 months to just get it right, and tough for track, but I think im starting to loose faith in it.
After going to a Sydney meet, I looked at all the hot cars, and I think I would really like to tame the evo up a little so I can attend more of these meets without as much fear. It was a fantastic meet that REALLY reminded me of the old days.. Had alot of fun.. And I wouldnt care about loosing 10kw here or there for a car I can enjoy more, because at the moment, Im really not enjoying it at all. In fact, it makes me want to sell it! :-(
Too many dramas with such a high strung car.. If I can be around the 300kW region, I'd be happy as!
So, here is what I plan to do over the next 12-18 months, slowly..
-Quieten down the exhaust (prolly go a custom 3" exhaust with twin resonators + oval rear box)
-Get some different rims for better stance (18*9.5 +22 Gram lights 57D in fluro yello anyone??)
-Hancook R-S3 in 265/35/18
-Remove or Relocate front tow hook
-Voltex GT Type 5 Wing (Already ordered)
-Evo 9 Front & Rear Bars
-Carbon side steps + rear skirts, APR Carbon canards, APR carbon front splitter, carbon vortex generator.. Maybe a VA-Style rear splitter?
Thats all I can think of now. But If I can get back to the orginal goals of the car, I'd be super happy. Something I can enjoy more with minimal trouble from the 5-0..
So thats where Im headed.
I just want it nice for the street now. The car is simply too hardcore as it is now.. Its too far away from what I orginally built the car for.. I wanted a tough street car, and I got too far away from that.. Time to get back to basics and enjoy just cruising..

Well, Looks like I lifted the head, so all the external stuff is going to have to wait..
Im tossing up what to do as it will be an expensive fix..
-Tomei L19 Head Studs
-Tomei 1.5mm Head Gasket
-Omni 4BAR MAP sensor in intake manifold
-Tomei Solid Lifters (maybe)
-Custom Turbo (maybe)
See what happens, need to sit and talk to my mechanic in detail about it. Damn it! Im getting married this year in september.. and this is a big blow. :-/

The nose chop comment had me confused as well
Wish we could trade places Mate=) I love the idea of living & driving an EVO Down Under.
Question. Is driving a "Left" hand driver in Australia as cool as driving a "Right" hand driver in the States?
Peace
