Post deployment Evo build thread.

While deployed I purchased a crap ton of parts off of various forums and from shops as well. The goal was to use mostly pre-owned but not necessarily used parts. I hate when people don't finish their own builds but I understand that there are more important things than cars. I have a mixture of Buschur, STM, AWD, AMS, JMF, and oem parts. I'm not here to say "don't buy new" because the fit and finish of these parts is amazing and still worth what you would pay new. All timing components were purchased new, as well as flywheel bolts and fluids were new from mitsu. The jmf drag intake looks amazing and clears the abs even with the massive plenum. Buschurs half radiator with -12 fittings looks great and went in without a hitch. The fmic is from AWD which I imagine is a Buschur core. STM's oil feed and drain lines are the perfect length even for my forward facing setup. The manifold, O2, and downpipe were made by a guy in Arizona and clear everything no problem. I had a surge tank setup from AMS but I am just going to use a single 255 intank and a 300 external. I purchased the Ikeya and JDM rear from Mike at AWD and they look great. Tuning will be with tephra and an LC1. The closest dyno to me is Top Speed but they stopped returning my emails so I have to bite the bullet and go 8 hrs to AWD. Picked up some 18x9.5 grids for a deal. Magnus rail, 1650's, aeromotive fpr. I'm still on the fence about using the grimmspeed ebcs or just putting in my avcr. Tial 44 on the exhaust, and 2 tial 50's on the intake. I only have a few pictures because I try to work more than snap the camera.

^^^^^it depends on how the car runs. If it's fast, it might be from ALB

Thanks man! I guess a formal mod list is what I should have posted.

Engine: Gates belt, BSEK, ARP's, Cometic, Comp 280's, Crower springs, Buschur half radiator, jegs fan

Fuel: magnus rail, aeromotive fpr, FIC 1650s, 255 intank, 300 external

Drivetrain/Suspension: Quartermaster v-drive twin, Ikeya sequential, STM clutch line, skunk2 springs, 17x8 5ZR's w/AO32's for auto-x, konig hotswaps for DD, Grids for future use.

Turbo: Manifold/O2/downpipe/dumptube made by JesseB on here. 37R, Tial 44

Intake: AWD custom fmic, twin tial 50's, JMF Drag smim, Q45 TB

Misc electronics: LC1, Grimmspeed ebcs, tactrix 1.3, boost, oil pres, fuel pres, water temp autometer gauges. PC680, spoolinup cop.

Exterior: OEM JDM rear, painted tails, seibon hood and trunk

THE SEIBON TRUNK IS GARBAGE!

I'm sure there is more I just can't think of it right now. If anyone I bought parts from on here wondered what happend to them, they are being put to use. I think I had 1 bad experience buying on here and everybody else was 100% honest and the description is exactly what showed up.

A big thank you goes out to these guys. JesseB, 1320AWD, mike@awd, jnathan68, dEdiYT11, EmeryatSTM, NJ_EveOhVIII , Evokid03 , binh, Jmelocik@Spec-Ops , srtboostin22...and many more! I cleaned my inbox and lost a bunch of names.

The day before I flew out to Afghan I was rear ended. $9,000ish in repairs after all was said and done. I bought the car from a dealer in '09 for $15k with 55k miles. After the wreck I decided to do a little more than basic bolt ons. I only see a handful of Evo's here in Savannah. Carter Race only has a 2wd dyno. Good looking mod list. Buying bnib or almost bnib is the best. Thank you for serving our country as well.
