Where is your XM antenna???
My fiance is getting me an XM ready head unit and also the Xm box and subscription. I would like to see some pics of where everyone put their antennas. I know that there are low profile antennas, but I would like to see what antenna you guys have and where it is. Thanks in advance.

how is the reception in the back window? Are your windows tinted? Mine are.
OZRally, no offense, but I have the large Evo spoiler so I was looking for evo guys. I have thought about that, but I'm worried about the wing being in the way

Drop Headliner and run wires through antenna hole then mount on roof infront on antenna. Looks good really, and you hardly notice it. Sorry I have an oz rally also. Just wanted to give you that idea.

I've been researching this a lot recently. I've been perusing www.xmfan.com They show LOTS of installs.
It seems that most installers are having success with sticking the antennas on the dash board up front or in the rear window.
I have a system that will arrive on Dec 25. I plan on putting the antenna on the front dash, infront of the defroster vents, as close to the glass as possible.

I'm getting the xm 'roady'. It's the small silver unit the size of a pack of cigs. It also comes with an antenna that is only 1inchx1inchx1/2inch. So it's small enough where I don't feel the need to hide it behind my rearview mirror.
I think that, in order for the antenna to work well, it has to have as good a view (and as wide a view) of the sky as possible. Sticking it up that high in the windshield would really cut down on the field of view, I'd think...
But I guess if you live and drive in an area full of XM's terrestrial repeaters, the placement of the antenna isn't as important.

I went this Sirius and the Here2Anywhere unit. Love it!
I installed (more like hid) the antenna in the back dash.
