RPF1 17x9.5 +18 255/40 RS3
I just installed the wheels today!
Wheels/tires/nuts are 3.5 pounds approx lighter per corner than the stock MR BBS and Sport Z1 235/45.
The supension is stock with Swift Spec-R which were installed three days ago and still have some room to settle down.
I took the car for a ride expecting some rubbing on mild corners but there was none. I will have the fender rolled/pull next week; looking for 18mm aprox on the rear to ensure 265 tires will fit in the future. I will also set up the car for -2 degrees of camber on the front and - 1.2 in the rear with zero toe on all fours.
I have to say, the Hankook R-S3 are so MUCH quiter than the Sport Z1. I don't know if they will make more noise after the breaking in period but it can not be any worse than the Dunlop and their "1000 bees" following you down the highway
Finally, I drove the car around the neighborhood with some spirit cornering and right off the bat I can feel the improve grip and quicker steering response. The 3.5 pounds less of rotating mass can't never hurt performance........perhaps I will upgrade the rotors and remove 6 more pounds per corner.
Some pics before the fender work, I will post some after pics as well next week:

Yeah, I had 17x9 35mm w/ 15mm spacers and no rubbing in rear or front.
But, did notice that the rear was a little too tucked in - very close to the arms.
I'm thinking maybe 17x9 22mm w/ 5mm spacers upfront for 265mm tires for balanced setting...

That's what I will be doing next week; I never understood the fear to roll/pull fenders IF done correctly. I actually thinks it looks better! Plus the extra 20mm of track in the rear vs the +38 offset is a good thing! Never mind the agressive/concave look
Sorry for this old bump but just did 17x9.5 +18s and the rears are rolled but it still rubs. I'm guessing I need more pull? Also did you do your front fenders OP and do you rub on the inside? Thanks.
^^^The +18, although looks really cool w/all that poke, is really a very poor offset for a stock bodied EVO
Rear rub is tough to remove w/out severely pulling the rears. W/out knowing the tire size, cant really put this on the calculator
