IMO you guys should work out a deal with a local body shop and sell them pre painted. Shipping is around $100 if not more depending on if you bubble wrap/put it in a large box.

But then again Russell offers them for $5xx and they are oem with perfect fitment.
Thats for one color...

I'd say no on making it longer mainly for reasons of, let's say I want to add pieces to the rear bumper like undertray/ canards or something like that, well then if you guys make it longer there won't be a same figment and for number 2, I'm game for either with or without side markers, personally side markers with a JDM rear would be unique actually, so pm me on price shipped to 96786, 2006 wicked white

$695 isn't bad, but what about $506 from MitsubishiParts.net. It's OEM so it comes pre-painted and obviously fitment is spot on.

Last I checked Mitsubishiparts only has white in stock, which is great for you and me.. but not so much the others

Here's a link to the Bason-R JDM rear. Looks like the price is even lower now - $425.00 shipped..

WOW, ok looks like we are going to pass on making this. If someone is already doing it at cost it doesn't make sense to spend 12K on getting the mold done. Especially If you guys have to take all the extra steps to get it finished to get it on. I really do appreciate all your feedback and interest in this. Be SAFE!

no, the bayson-r replica looks like crap. If you can make it look/fit COMPLETELY like oem (+ a sidemarkers option) I would buy your bumper

I know they're decision is final but I thought I should comment on a few things I read in this thread.

I think I have their bumper. I don't know who's bumper it is actually because I bought the car with it, but all I know is it fits the USDM rear bumper beam and it looks different to the driveline piece that fasterbater has (we compared in a parking lot, same RR evos). Fitment is pretty good except for one corner which doesn't line up well with the tail lights.

Yea I made this mistake when buying a new lip. I thought it came pre-painted, I even selected the "red" option but it came in primer white.

I know I'm getting into this thread a bit late but here are my thoughts.

1. Yes because no one offers the JDM rear that supports the OEM USDM crash beam so this would set you apart from all the other replicas out there. Also people who want the JDM rear, but don't want to modify the crash beam would be all over this.

2. Rear side markers could be cool and again I haven't seen any replicas with this option.

If you guys want the replica, than buy the real deal from driveline. Some guys want a JDM rear that fits with USDM crash beam and a USDM exhaust so this could have been a great opportunity to produce a rear bumper that satisfies the needs of a specific market.

Sadly though, it looks like you guys have made your decision. If you consider making one with the two options you mentioned in your first post, I would be interested. Especially if they came pre-painted.

Thanks
