... That pic brings me back. In my old 04-05 Evo days, I've always wanted to see a 3" oval canister setup without any angle. My nostalgia is seriously loving this.

Really liking the exhaust also, I need to look in it.

Serious question; What is traction like with that hp/tq and 225's?

Very clean car. Personally, I'm not a fan of white on grey but to each his own.

I have the same exhaust. Any idea what portion of the tip he cut? The part connected to the muffler or the bumper side?

Probably little before 3rd, and likely none in the corners. Not that you could shift any weight at all with VW fad fitment like that anyway.

nice ride, love white on apex silver. wanted a similar setup but with a 9" or 9.5". not a fan of stretched tires though.

should edit the first post with the cars spec sheet and wheel spec

im thinking of same setup but 18x10 +38 with 25mm up front and 15mm in the back with 255 tire

what do you think about that?, so 5mm spacer up front for your +18 is a minimum?

Are you talking about the Work XD9's in 18x10+38 with a 265 tire? If so, they will fit but with the following stipulations/modifications:

Minimalist approach:

a) You will need to run a minimum of a 25mm spacer up front which will call for either bolt on spacers or extended studs (3").
b) You do not need any spacers out back
c) You will need to run about -3 camber up front and the rears will actually fit 'fairly' well.
d) You will need to roll your fenders all around and relocate the two rear bumper tabs a little further back to clearance the tires.

Realistically-What-You-Should-Do approach:

Same as above, except add the following:

e) Either custom or aftermarket rear trailing arms to clear the wheels tires properly and prevent scrubbing and possible tire blowout.
f) Run a smaller spring (6") to clearance the inside of the tires and the suspension.
g) Run either a wider front fender or the EvoDave kit.

For the exhaust, just cut the whole part between the tip and muffler. then you will get perfect fitment on JDM rear
