Shaved Handles

I bought my IX with the APR Evil R wide body kit. I love the way it looks, though kind of obnoxious as a dd but im ok with it haha. so my problem is the previous owner shaved and molded the rear door handles. my question is will it be easier to try to recover the doors and just knock out where the handles used to be ... or get new rear doors and buy the molding from apr.... either way the cars getting repainted. If anyones had any experience with it that would be great.

to shave the door handles they had to take them out and weld a metal plate over the hole and use bondo. so no chance without new doors.

that is the proper way there is a second way the wrong way to do it is they completely fill the hole in with bondo so it would be super thick right there. i would recomend pulling off your interior door panel and see if u can feel how they did it or you can do the knock test on the outside. where you knock on it with your knucles lightley and u can hear the knock get more dense and not hollow sounding.

either way good luck with it all

if its welded.. new doors.... if they filled it with bondo... any competant body shop can slowly grind out the bondo and get it back in working order.
