My TurnInConcepts evo suspension build!
Recently I started working at Turn in Concepts. 4 months to be exact. Some of you may or may not know who TIC is but we do a lot with race suspensions and recently some engine building.
We're looking to move into the Evo market more, so they decided to start using my evo. Of course I couldnt say no! And once they found out I used tein h-tech springs, it was a quick decision to upgrade.
We started with a set of Race Comp Engineering GTWorx springs. These springs are intended to keep the evo within its suspension geometry without having to upgrade oem parts. I gained almost a half inch more drop in the rear and .17" more in the front. As you can see in the pictures they're quite a bit more beefy. Spring rate is about 100 lbs stiffer in the front and about 90 lbs in the rear.

We finished off this build with a set of DMS race plates from MSI. Its a beautiful piece of machine work!

Do to a long wait on a new clutch, the car is on jackstands still. Ill post up pictures of the car on the ground and update how the new springs feel as soon as its done.

Ive never been a big fan of Tien so Im happy to try something new. Just reading the specs alone they sound like much better quality springs.

Finally got the car back on the road. Ill update with some pictures soon. The ride quality of these springs is by far the best ive been on (Tein, Eibach, Swift). I drove the car from Cinci to Chicago (300+ miles one way) and it felt better than stock. Very comfortable and no jaring feeling over major bumps. Im already looking to order a set for my wifes evo (currently had the Tein S-tech's).

CAD EVO, The plates are machined so the alan bolts fit inside. They don't design the race plate to use standard bolts. I always put a little anti-seize on the threads and never have issues. I believe the street plate could use regular bolts in place of the alans.
These aren't the best pictures, but I wanted to get some up for everyone to see. Unfortunetally with the front camber plates, the ride height is higher than it would be with oem tophats.

If you have any ideas for suspension parts you'd like let me know. We see that more evo owners prefer power over ride quality but we'd like to change that. The car is so much more fun to drive when it rides and handles better than stock.

I beg to differ on the power vs the better ride quality. Well honestly the best of both worlds would be nice haha. I'll have to check out you guys site and I'll let you know what would be nice. BTW I love that you guys have free shipping to ALASKA. You guys rock!!

I have some new rear toe arms that are prototypes from Moore Sport (MSI) so Ill have some pictures up of them soon.
I have dealt with TIC when working with my buddy's 04 STI. Great group of guys to deal with, and definitely answered my questions. We ended up buying their completed 04 STI kit, and the thing handles like a dream.
I'm really curious to know the cost of those upper plates you have, and whether they will work with coilovers. Have a link, and any more info?>
