There is a whole sub cluture of Evo owners that are doing the hella flush thing. Its been battled out a myriad of times. It hasn't died as quickly as i expected it to which is surprisingly.
i get tired of fads in the car scene. i remember when jdm popped off. the whole "go jdm or go home" dumb$#!@ was retarded. doods didnt understand, not much jdm stuff can make your car go as fast. i remember this idiot talking **** to my friend because he supposedly had a jdm apex-i turbo kit on his integra, and my boy had a drag kit. kept saying "your not jdm enough dood, nothing beats jdm". i wonder what he was thinking when my friend was so far ahead he couldnt read the rear license plate.
seriously, the fads are stupid. in dfw the latest thing was driving around with no hood on your car and exhaust pipes that were almost as high as the car itself

Sounds about right!
The exhaust pipes thing comes from the bosozoku look in Japan. I'm not a fan, but I get it anyway. I say don't follow trends, but do what you want to make your car what you want it to be. I have "stance", but that form is a result of the pursuit of function. I wanted wider wheels for more contact patch and I wanted to be lower simply because I like the look and I could have better handling with a proper set of springs/adjustable struts. The result? A great looking car that handles MUCH better than it did stock. But I'm not here to beat a dead horse either so...

If its not some obscure old japanese hotrod/old school car then it makes me laugh. I think it looks retarded.
