235's will be a bit of a stretch. 245's will fit great!

And stretching is dangerous to de-beading and unseating the bead from the rim. (It means an instant evacuation of air -- thats the technical term for it).

 

And it's all the rage now. Lol. Get 245s

 

Looking at Hankook's Evo v12's 234/45/17 , the upper limit of wheel width is 9". So while it is a bit of a stretch, it's still safe according to this manufacturer. Check what tire you want to go with and see the max wheel width allowed.

 

I would put some 255/40/17 thats what i have on my dpt's that are 17x9
