Is an evo 8 to 7 conversion possible?

Would it be possible to get an evo VIII and convert it to the apperance of a VII?

No body kit look alikes, I mean like the actual front/rear bumpers, rear wing, and hood.

The only think I know that would fit is the tail lights, and Im guessing the wing, though I have no clue of front/rear bumpers and hood.

Thanks 4 any info'

Since you say you want a Full Evo VII conversion, I believe that the only things that would need to be replaced are the front bumper, hood, wing, and Recaros. Everything else is the same...

The rear bumper's a special case, because if you want your car to look EXACTLY like a JDM Evo VII, that would have to be replaced also...

I don't have an Evo (I'm sorry that I can't be more detailed), but I believe you would encounter problems while replacing the bumpers with reinforcements designed by to meet crash worthiness. That is something a fellow Evo VIII owner can be more specific with.

Good luck with your conversion!!

EDIT: Forgot about the wheels also...need Evo VII wheels for the Full Conversion.

Wouldn't you have to remove the front bumper reinforcement?

Where would you get the OEM front bumper from? MMC Japan? This is a fairly expensive conversion. If it were easy and affordable, someone would have done it by now.

You'd need the front bumper, hood and rear fascia. Front bumper support would have to go, as this piece doesn't exist on JDM Evos.

You would need to remove both front and rear bumper supports. Wouldn't worry about the front lights though, most are for RHD so they will angle incorrecty

Damn, gah o well,
Hope at least some company designs a 7 look-a-like kit for the 8, prob. not though would be great. Even though im against kits, that and a few others look great.

The Kansai is the only one I seen that somewhat resembles the front.

Evo 7 Bumper

I want to buy an Evo 7 factory front bumper for my Evo 8 but some people have said that the hood needs to be replaced as well. Can anyone tell me why the hood would have to be replaced for an Evo 7 bumper conversion? Is it just the fact that the 7 hood has the separated heat extraction vents which would make it more authentic or is there some issue with the bumper fitment itself? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
