Thanks man! Yeah I have 3 E85 stations within about 5 miles of where I live so it definitely makes sense for me. We'll see how things go but as long as I don't need the cash, I think I'm gonna hang on to these FIC 1050s and hopefully go E85 in the spring

Since your going to E85 which requires a re-tune, maybe consider SD at the same time. Eliminating the MAF can get rid of some hidden bugs at the same time.

Unfortunately, it hasn't been until recently that I've felt completely comfortable tuning the car on the MAF so I don't know if I'm quite ready to tackle SD yet but we'll see. I've got all winter to try to figure it out though

UPDATE 11-12-11

Well the weather turned out to be as good as you could hope for for the middle of November and with a little coaxing from Tyler, I decided I couldn't pass up the opportunity to run the Evo one last time before winter and that turned out to be a good decision

I only got three runs in but I managed to run a new personal best of 12.524 @ 109.88 I also cut my fastest 60' ever with a 1.678

Here's the timeslip:

It was a great day for racing and that was my first run of the day. Afterward that run I caught up with Tyler and things weren't going so well for him. The pulley on his A/C compressor decided to sieze up after his third run We were really looking forward to running next to eachother because our cars are pretty evenly matched but I guess we'll have to wait until Spring. After we found the problem on Tyler's car he was cool enough to let me borrow his helmet so that I could get a couple more passes in (the track crew was all over me about not having a helmet the first time). Thanks again bro

I'm definitely looking forward to Spring now! Even with the baby on the way I know I'm gonna have to make it back out for a few more passes. I have a couple of ideas now of how to improve my 60' and maybe get a little more out of the tune so hopefully I can get into the low 12s. Also looking forward to some intense races with Tyler

Stay tuned guys for some new pics!! I did a photoshoot with one of the guys in my youth group last weekend and I'm hoping to get the disc from him tomorrow so I'll get some more pics up as soon as I get time!

good read...not sure if i missed it, but is the evo still a DD?

if so, why would anyone want to go the e85 route?

Thanks man! It is still my daily driver and that's exactly how I drive it at the track, I don't change anything. The spare, passenger seat, backseat, 12" sub and amp, and 2 tool boxes all go along for the ride

The reason for going E85 would be for more POWA!!! I do realize that it will cut down on my mpg though so I'm still debating it, but if or when I get the new injectors installed and working properly, I can always run dual maps and still run 93 most of the time and switch to E85 just for weekends at the track and stuff
