Even had some mattresses in the back (you can see them in the third pic lol) cause I didn't know if I was going to get a bed for the weekend. Didn't end up sleeping in the wagon. Glad I didn't though, not enough headroom (pun....err....not intended).

Would be keen on a set off a GSR (I don't like the MR BBSs) but they're a bit pricey over here, $1K+ no tires. I'm looking at a set of VIII rims that I'd be keen on painting, IDK what colour though.

You can fold the seats down too, enough room to fit 35 bales of toilet paper (long story) and still have the front 2 seats clear. (35 bales = 1680 rolls of toilet paper!).

 

I don't think Mitsi wanted the wagon to look aggressive from behind. The wagon has a lot more subtley to it than the sedans. And the cost of redesigning a full rear end (instead of using the normal lancer wagon rear) for 2500 units would have pushed the price way up. I know it's not to everyone's tastes and that's cool, each to their own.
