Similar to running low offset wheels, it prematurely wears the wheel bearings. Thats about it that I can think of...it puts more stress on the wheel studs as well. But it's not a huge issue.

speaking of this; do evo's gain camber through compression?

i've been thinking of running ~5mm spacers just to push the wheels out a tiny bit and am wondering how i'd go about checking for rub before doing this

took me 5 seconds to find the thread again. i didnt say it was smike's review, i said he advised against it. here is the thread. type in the search bar "spacers bbs"

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...bs-wheels.html

either way it looks sick, just need to find spacers for a good deal.

when a car experiences force due to bump or whatever in a non smooth surface or perhaps a jump and landing scenario, the suspension deflects from its set point, so in the case of compression it sees negative camber. like wise when its in rebound it sees positive camber (this is relative to the set point, so if its -4 it wouldnt see +2, it'll be less negative).
springs and proper valving dampening will decrease this to a certain extent, this is vehicle specific.
