Playing with camera

I bought the camera last year for my wife for our annerversary last year. It is a Nikon d7000. She loves it. She got into photography after one of her classes (she just does not like the shots they have her take ).

So I took it out the past two days and gave it a shot myself to see how well I like it. I must admit it is a pretty nice camera. The first day I did shots in full auto letting the camera decide how to make it look. Today I did it myself.

These are the full auto photos. You can see the flood lines on the bridge on how high the water was last year during the flood of the Mississippi.

These were done in full manual.

Nice! I've always wondered what a black Mitsu logo looked on an AS car :-)

Pretty sweet.

for some reason I feel I have driven over that bridge?

Thanks, I am still learning the manual part of the camera so it takes me a little longer to take photos

You might have it is the entrance to Cape Girardeau, MO from Illinois. You can make it out in the 4th photo.

Thanks. I don't think there are any areas that can make an evolution look bad. maybe it's just me though.

I wonder what it would look like if you took the 2 opposing focus pictures and combined the 2 in focus parts in photoshop?

Not sure they would line up right. I took these without a tripod. Next time I am taking a tripod for sure.

I did not think a camera would get heavy so quickly when you are trying to hold still.
