At $400, you get what you pay for, I doubt it would be a quality job at that price....let alone cheaper.

 

This is definitely something you do not want to go cheap on. If you want it done properly without taking a chance of some hack cutting your paint up you better plan on paying more than that. I install these for a living and can tell you my material cost alone is not much cheaper than what you were quoted. So its either cheap film or a poor installer. Either way its not going to be a good result.
