thanks guys

I have a point and shoot Cannon that i bought back in 2006 for like $100, but I do try to get quality pictures. A tripod would help but I want to get one that would also work with a real camera of some sort so I don't waste money

DSLR's and Point&Shoot's use the same kind of mounting screws. Bogen Mangrotto tripods are real nice.

thanks man, I'll look into them. And I agree with the shutter speed, when I set the camera to real slow shutter speed and lay it on something stationary it comes out nice for a very cheap camera
