Thanks man, I'm shooting with a Nikon D5000, manual exposure and zoom while using both a 55-200mm lens and a 18-55mm lens. That's pretty much all I know; haven't had the time to get real technical with it.

You should try using a higher ISO and f stop, which will net you a sharper image. Shooting with a tripod is crucial. Make sure to match your shutter speed to properly indicate a correct exposure.
